I launched January Partners earlier this year to buy and personally operate a business with $5-50 million in revenue where the owner would like to transition out of day-to-day management. I have financial backing and I am actively seeking prospects. Please send any referrals to This email address is being protected from spambots. I heard the other day from classmate Thomas Arnold 98 (known as ""Travolta Arnold"" at UNC) who has been living in San Francisco for the past couple of years and says he ""loves the lifestyle."" Glad to hear about this method of keeping alumni info current. I keep in touch with most of my pledge class and don't have too much to report at this time except for David Hood 98. David has lit his entrepreneurial fire and started his own business as a motivational speaker. His demographic is relatively broad, but he seems to have found a sweet spot in targeting single mothers who feel bound by the shackles of domestic life. His no-nonsense approach seems to have struck a chord with this target audience, and he has an uncanny ability to simplify his approach with catchy buzz phrases like, ""Lose the apron, you are willing and able. See yourself sitting at a board room table!"" He may not be the next Tony Robbins, but he is off to a fantastic start. (2621 Fernway Dr., Montgomery, AL 36111)
