The spring semester has been both a busy and exciting one for the NC Beta chapter of Phi Delt. We earned a very strong GPA in the fall semester and remain near the top in terms of GPA and size of our chapter. Not only are we succeeding in the classroom, we also remain one of the most heavily involved chapters on campus.

Justin Coleman (senior) recently helped the Tar Heels basketball team reach the Final Four in Houston. Additionally, Louis Stephens has headed up an organization called “Go Meals,” which delivers leftover food from Greek organizations to the local homeless shelter. Alex Requarth also recently led the men’s club soccer team to a national championship in Phoenix this past fall.

The officers on the executive board have been hard at work as well. Under the leadership of our philanthropy chair Seth Pinosky, we broke the record of money raised for our Eve Carson Memorial 5K in the fall and our Breakfast for Dinner benefitting Habitat for Humanity just a few weeks ago. Our alumni chair, Reid Farber, organized the first annual Luke Garrison Memorial Golf Tournament just a few weeks ago, and it was a huge success. Lastly, our rush chairs have been hard at work with the recent acceptances to Carolina and have planned our big rush event in late April.
